Out of My System

This was one of the first songs I wrote for the "Flesh and Bone" CD in 1997. Soon after finishing it, I came up with "Never Take Me Dancing" and "Can't Lie To My Heart" and felt the album was heading in a much more R&B direction, so this song got shoved aside, but not because I didn't love it. I've tried including it on other projects here and there but it is its own entity. So for its Bar Mitzvah present, I'm turning it loose.

Since Our Last Goodbye

We were just starting to promote "My Own Best Enemy" in 2004 when I found myself in New York City for a few days doing tv and press. We had to record a new version of "Ready To Fly" for an upcoming television performance, and I was paying for 3 hours of studio time. We cut "Fly" in about 40 minutes. So....I said, "Hey guys...I wrote this song in my hotel room last night....let's cut it." I love how it's garage-band-y and Beatle-esque and completely un-refined. Again, I haven't found the right project for it the past 6 years, so....here ya go. If someone cranks it up in their car this summer....mission accomplished.
